Reception/Main Hub Building

• Luxury apartment for the project directors

o Bedroom, living area, small kitchen, and private bathroom with bath tub

o Designed for long-term comfort, with sea views and natural materials

• Compact staff apartment

o Bedroom, bathroom with shower, small kitchenette

o Intended for staff accommodation after construction phase

• Both apartments will temporarily serve as housing for the project owners during the construction period

Design & Materials

• Natural and sustainable construction using locally sourced, climate-adapted materials

• Walls are built with sun-dried or compressed clay bricks, finished with clay plaster to create soft, rounded, organic forms o Clay functions as a thermal mass, buffering indoor temperature and regulating humidity

o The clay surface also contributes to air quality by absorbing moisture and pollutants

• Exterior wood elements (support beams, railings, window frames) made from durable local hardwoods such as Yakal, Ipil, or Tanguile (Philippine Mahogany)

• Windows are large and strategically positioned for cross-ventilation and natural light o High-positioned openings allow warm air to escape, supporting passive cooling

• All sun-exposed windows are equipped with an automated exterior shading system, which adjusts based on the intensity and angle of sunlight

• Interior style follows a minimalist boho aesthetic, with light wood tones, handcrafted décor, and natural materials

• Cooling system: Each unit is equipped with air conditioning, supported by ceiling fans and architectural ventilation for efficient energy use

Roof Construction – Curved & Sustainable

• The roof has a curved, organic shape aligned with the architecture of the entire resort

• The roof substructure is made of laminated timber (glulam) or light steel framing, shaped to support the organic form

• A high-performance waterproof membrane (e.g., EPDM or TPO) ensures full protection against heavy rain and tropical humidity

• A natural insulation layer (e.g., coconut fiber, wood wool, or recycled cellulose) is added beneath the membrane

• A ventilated cavity below the insulation layer reduces heat transmission

• Around 25 kWp solar PV panels will be installed on the roof using flexible brackets adapted to the curvature

• Rainwater harvesting system: the roof shape channels water into integrated gutters that lead to underground tanks for reuse

• The roof underside may be finished with bamboo or light wood cladding for aesthetic warmth and improved acoustics

Foundation

•The primary plan includes a reinforced concrete foundation, adapted to the sloped terrain and heavy rainfall

• As a more sustainable alternative, strip foundations beneath load-bearing walls may be used, combined with compacted natural stone infill in between

o This reduces the overall concrete volume, allows for better drainage, and minimizes environmental impact

o The interior floor can be slightly raised and finished with wood or clay, protecting it from ground moisture and contributing to a natural indoor climate

Large Guest Apartment Building (4x)

These buildings are designed to accommodate resort guests in high-comfort, naturally ventilated apartments. Each structure houses four independent units, offering privacy, natural aesthetics, and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.

Size

• Two floors per building

• Approximate footprint per building: 12 m x 10 m -> or smaller depends on the size of the apartments in the plan

• Four units total:

o 2 upper-floor apartments with balconies

o 2 ground-floor apartments with direct garden access

Layout / Spaces (per unit)

Each apartment has a similar layout, adapted for the respective floor level:

• Bedroom with large windows and space for a king-size bed

• Open-plan living room and kitchen area

• Private bathroom with spacious shower (optionally semi-open)

• Private outdoor space: o Upper floor: balcony with seating and treetop views

o Ground floor: small private garden terrace

Apartments are designed to be modular, allowing for similar construction across all four buildings while providing a spacious and airy living experience

• Walls constructed from clay bricks, finished with smooth clay plaster, allowing soft, organic curves and a healthy indoor climate

• Clay provides natural thermal mass, reducing the need for active cooling

• Clay walls absorb humidity and release it slowly, improving comfort

• The architecture emphasizes natural, flowing forms that blend into the landscape and promote a sense of calm and spaciousness

• Abundant daylight is a central design feature: large windows, bright interiors, and open layouts create a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the day

• The foundation will likely be built with reinforced concrete, potentially in combination with strip footings and stone infill to minimize the concrete volume and environmental footprint

• The roof is a gently curved, organic form built from glulam or light steel, covered with a durable waterproof membrane (EPDM/TPO) and insulated with natural materials like coconut fiber or recycled cellulose

• A 20 kWp photovoltaic system is installed on the roof of each building, designed to fully cover the energy needs of the apartments in combination with battery storage

• Large windows with cross-ventilation and high-positioned openings to allow warm air to escape

• All apartments are equipped with energy-efficient air conditioning, supported by ceiling fans and passive cooling techniques

These compact buildings provide spacious and private guest accommodation with a slightly more exclusive layout. Each structure contains two larger apartments, designed for couples, small families, or long-stay guests seeking natural comfort and elegance

• Built using the same core principles as the large apartment buildings:

o Natural forms are emphasized throughout, with rounded corners, flowing transitions, and a calming spatial experience

o The buildings are designed for maximum daylight exposure, with large windows and bright interiors

• The foundation will be constructed from reinforced concrete, with the potential use of strip foundations and natural stone infill to reduce cement volume

• The roof is a curved, organic form, made of laminated timber (glulam) or light steel, covered by a high-performance waterproof membrane (e.g., EPDM or TPO), and insulated with natural materials (e.g., coconut fiber, recycled cellulose)

• A 20 kWp photovoltaic system will be installed on each roof, meeting the full energy needs of the building

Community Gathering Platform

The Community Platform is a multifunctional, open structure that serves as a central space for cultural exchange, education, and social interaction. It is accessible to both guests and local community members, fostering inclusive, nature-oriented gatherings and events.

• Approximate floor area: 80–100 m², fully open plan (expandable if needed)

• Features a flat, elevated roof, structurally reinforced to carry a 150 kWp solar photovoltaic array

• The platform is fully roofed but open on all sides, allowing natural light, ventilation, and visual connection with the landscape

Uses & Activities

• Workshops (sustainability, crafts, wellness)

• Yoga sessions and group meditations

• Dance nights, film screenings, and small concerts

• Cultural exchange programs and guest-local interaction

• Educational activities in cooperation with local schools or NGOs

• Also usable by external community groups for self-organized events

Design & Materials

• Structural frame made from reinforced steel or glulam beams to support the weight of the large PV system

• Roofing surface: flat waterproof membrane (e.g. EPDM or TPO) with high loadbearing capacity and full sun exposure

• Supporting structure and floor made from locally sourced hardwoods (e.g. Yakal, Tanguile) and treated bamboo

• Flooring is slightly elevated above ground to protect from humidity

Roof Structure (Community Platform & Gym)

• The flat roof covering the Community Platform and adjacent Gym is designed to support a high-capacity photovoltaic system of 150 kWp.

• To meet the structural requirements, the roof is built using a reinforced load-bearing frame, either:o Heavy-duty laminated timber beams (glulam)

o Or a structural steel framework, depending on span, cost, and aesthetic preferences

• The roof surface consists of a durable, high-load waterproof membrane (e.g. EPDM or TPO), fully sealed, UV-resistant, and able to withstand heavy rainfall

• The structure includes internal bracing and optimized load distribution to resist wind loads and support the weight of the PV system

• Rainwater drainage is integrated through concealed gutters and downpipes, feeding into collection tanks for reuse

• A maintenance hatch or access point may be incorporated for servicing the solar system

• The underside of the roof can be finished with bamboo or timber paneling for aesthetic integration with the resort's natural design language

Fitness Pavilion (Gym)

The Fitness Pavilion is a compact and well-equipped gym designed to offer guests and staff a space for physical activity, wellness, and training. While connected to the Community Platform in form and layout, it is a fully enclosed and independent space, ensuring a focused and private workout environment.

• Approximate area: 30–40 m²

• Architecturally integrated with the Community Platform but visually and acoustically separated

• Separated from the open area by a two-sided mirror wall, allowing functional transparency and reflection for workouts

• Remaining enclosure made from a mix of large glass panels and solid natural wall materials (e.g., clay or bamboo)

Equipment & Features

• Free weights, resistance bands, yoga mats, and cardio equipment (e.g., treadmill, rowing machine, bike)

• Mirrored wall for posture and form observation

• Music system / speakers installed for ambient or training music

• Air conditioning for cooling during workouts

• Ceiling fan and operable ventilation windows for natural airflow and cross-ventilation

• Well-lit interior using natural daylight from glass sections, complemented by LED lighting

Design & Materials

• Constructed from locally sourced hardwoods, glass, and clay plastered or bamboofinished interior walls

• Flooring made from non-slip natural wood or bamboo, durable and suitable for barefoot or mat training

• Shared roof structure with the Community Platform, but spatially defined as a standalone room

• The overall design matches the resort’s aesthetic language: natural, clean, and grounded in soft organic forms

Canopy Walk & Treehouse Area

The Canopy Walk and Treehouse Area form a secluded and elevated zone within the forest, offering guests a fully immersive treetop experience. Designed as a network of suspended walkways, wooden platforms, and natural hideaways, this area feels like a small world of its own – inspired by nature, with an aesthetic that blends organic architecture and a sense of wonder, similar to an “elfin village” in the trees.

Walkways & Platforms

• The Canopy Walk consists of interlinked wooden bridges, suspended walkways, and tree-connected platforms.

• Final layout and length depend on the topography and exact position of existing trees.

• Platforms serve as access points to treehouses, as well as social or contemplative spaces.

• Special elements include:o A suspended net area, enclosed for safety, with cushions for reading, stargazing, or resting in the treetops

o A canopy viewpoint platform with seating for nature observation, sunrise/sunset viewing, and photography

o Hanging bridges connecting zones for added experience and adventure, yet fully safe and accessible

Treehouses

• There are four treehouse structures, each divided into two private guest units (total: eight rooms).

• Treehouses are built partly on wooden stilts and partly anchored to trees, without damaging root systems or trunks.

• Each guest unit includes:o Bedroom area with forest view

o Bathroom with shower and toilet (compact, modern, natural finish)

o Optionally a small seating corner or writing desk

o Private balcony or deck overlooking the forest canopy

• Units are designed to feel like natural hotel rooms, balancing comfort with raw nature.

Materials & Construction

• Primary structure: locally sourced hardwoods, natural-finish surfaces, and bamboo accents

• Mounted on minimal-impact footings or screw foundations, depending on soil conditions

• Roofs are gently pitched and covered with waterproof membrane roofing, camouflaged with natural materials

• Walls and furniture use local materials, light tones, and organic shapes

• Emphasis on silent construction methods and tree-friendly anchoring systems

Sustainability & Technology

• Where feasible, each treehouse will be equipped with small-scale photovoltaic panels on the roof or nearby canopy openings

• Greywater systems and compost-based or low-consumption toilets under evaluation

• Low-voltage LED lighting powered by solar

• No clearing of native forest – buildings are integrated around existing trees, not in place of them

• Soft lighting only, to avoid light pollution and support nocturnal wildlife

• Noise minimization: no amplified sound systems, to preserve the peaceful forest atmosphere

Beachfront Restaurant & Bar

This open-concept beachfront restaurant offers guests a relaxed, airy, and authentic Filipino dining experience. It features a vegetarian kitchen, a shaded dining area, and a natural-style beach bar, all built in harmony with the tropical coastal setting. The space invites guests to enjoy slow food, sea views, and a warm, local atmosphere.2

• Seating for approx. 35–40 guests

• Includes a covered dining area, closed kitchen, and a small beachfront bar counter

Layout / Spaces

• Open guest seating area under a shaded roof, with a mix of seating styles:

o Standard tables with chairs for most guests

o A few low tables with floor cushions for relaxed, barefoot dining

• Beach bar with stools facing the ocean, serving fresh juices, cocktails, and small vegetarian bites

• Closed kitchen located behind or to the side of the dining area, providing a private yet efficient space for food preparation

• Table service is provided throughout – there is no return area for dishes

• Optional lounge elements or native daybeds may be integrated for atmosphere

• Built in an open pavilion style, inspired by the Community Platform

• Uses locally sourced wood, bamboo, and natural stone throughout the structure

• Roof made of traditional nipa palm, cogon grass, or similar native thatching for a cooling, authentic touch

Jungle Spa and Massage Deck

The Jungle Spa and Massage Deck form a tranquil wellness area within the resort, offering guests deeply relaxing, nature-connected treatments in an open yet private setting. The space combines a compact, fully equipped Spa building with a separate beachfront Massage Deck, allowing for both indoor and outdoor experiences – always surrounded by tropical vegetation, natural materials, and calming design

Spa Building

• Small, standalone structure designed for:

o 2 indoor treatment rooms

o A reception and waiting areao Changing room and shower

o Optional small outdoor bathtub or herbal foot bath corner

Massage Deck

• A separate wooden platform near the beach or within a lush garden

• Lightly shaded (e.g. with pergola, palm roof, or textile draping)

• Designed for 1–2 massage tables, offering open-air treatments with full privacy

• Surrounded by plants and optionally enclosed with curtains or bamboo panels

Design & Materials

• The Spa building will be constructed either from clay and local timber or fully from locally sourced hardwood, depending on final structural and climate considerations

• The Massage Deck is built entirely from treated, moisture-resistant hardwood, elevated and shaded for comfort

• Both structures follow the resort’s organic design principles, with curved forms, light materials, and seamless indoor-outdoor flow

• Roofs are designed for tropical rain conditions, using traditional or modern waterproofing methods

• Interiors are finished with natural surfaces, including wood, smooth clay, or bamboo accents

• Décor and atmosphere emphasize calm, nature, and simplicity

Sustainability Features

• Powered by solar energy from the main system

• Designed for natural ventilation and daylight use, reducing the need for artificial lighting or air conditioning

• Rainwater collection for non-potable uses (e.g. foot baths, cleaning)

Our dog shelter provides a safespace for street dogs, offering food, medical care and adoption programs.

Our shop in the Main Hall supports local farmers, artisans, and social projects by giving them a space to sell their products directly to visitors.

We work with schoolchildren, introducing them to nature and the importance of protecting it. We also engaged guests in sustainability by collaborating with coral restoration projects, showcasing the crucial role of healthy oceans.
